A few weeks ago one of my students showed me a video of the babies his hamster had just given birth to. I asked him, "Can I have one?" Three weeks later he brought two hamsters to school for me to choose from. One was brown, one was a light, peach color. I chose the light colored hamster. It's been one week since I've had little "Hamnida." She's adorable. She loves to sleep, dig, stuff her cheeks with food, and run on her wheel. Here she is:
I love animals, but I know I couldn't commit to owning an animal in Korea other than a hamster. I still miss my rabbit back home terribly, maybe Hamnida will ease the pain just a little! She sure is cute...
